Is that an expansion band? Like a Twist-O-Flex?

@tardy Yes, I was skeptical of it, but have come to really like how clean it is and doesn't have lumpy clasps. I mostly chose that just to have something to prototype and see how I felt about that general design direction for the metal band.

Those images were taken before I finished the endlinks a bit. They're kind of rough coming out of 3D printing with a grainy finish from the laser sintering. Took quite a bit of grinding and work to take it down.

What do you think?

BTW, here's a photo for reference after grinding the 3D printed endlink. It ends up with some interesting texture. I think I need to run it through a sand/bead blast to get it to the matte I want.

Huh. That's kind of interesting. As a guy with pretty hairy arms, I'm not sure the band would work for me (ouch), but I might still give it a try anyway. It looks really good to me. You definitely don't see a titanium "Twist-O-Flex" every day!

The end pieces would probably look great with a bead blast applied.

sorry, not a fan. too many lost arm hairs to the twist-o-flex monster.

For any of you that are interested, here's a link to pre-order a prototype titanium band for COURG 39mm.

Link will go out to others Black Friday, but wanted to give you guys first access.

I barely just posted it, hadn't put any links out anywhere and someone already found it and ordered one!

Haha

@Azza Yeah I'm not sure. I think it's just the nature of the mechanism.
